Can you believe it’s already February? Wednesday morning started off a little overcast and calm. By mid-morning though, the sun had popped out from behind the thick clouds on the horizon and shimmered off clean and dreamy 2-3ft waves.

There was a bit of a longboard masterclass in nose riding going down at the South end. A Southerly breeze had kicked in by this point so down the South corner tucked under the headland was the place to be. The banks looked fun and a backdrop of Shelly Beach & The Bower really topped off the scene. Those who were already settled in to a patch of sand down this end were also lapping up the rays and already parked up for a textbook day down at the beach.

We were in for a great week of sun!

How good has the sun been this week! A steady run of cloudless skies and temps tickling the big 30 everyday. It was a perfect Summer’s morning down at Manly Beach with the early crew starting their Friday right with a daily dose of salt. Oh, and surf was good too! A light off-shore cleaned up the banks and there were waves all the way up the beach.

Shelly Beach & The Bower don’t get much better than this! Straight up 10/10 perfection.

The Cole Classic crowd descended on Manly so this end of the bay was buzzing with life. It was great to see all those swimmers enjoying Manly at its best. I’ve been photographing down at The Bower since 2012 so you can trust me when I say the water clarity was as good as it gets.

Hope you got down there for a swim, or better yet, a snorkel. One of my favourite spots to hang on days like these.

As always, thanks for checking out this weeks post and following my work! All photographs are available as prints. Hit the link below to browse collections and read more posts. If you don’t see what you’re after here on my website just shoot me a message and we’ll get it organised for you.

Cheers,
